PrismShare moves files and live audio between a screen and a camera as colour codes. It is built so that a privacy policy has very little to describe.
PrismShare collects nothing about you and sends nothing to us. The app does not hold internet permission.
Nothing. PrismShare collects no personal data, no usage data, no analytics, no identifiers and no diagnostics. Blue Heeler Software runs no server for the app, and the app sends nothing to us.
Your files, your audio and your camera image never leave the device over a network. Files you receive are decoded from the camera image and stored only where you save them. Audio you receive is played and not retained. The camera image is processed on the device and discarded.
The app never uses the network itself. The optional Supporter purchase works through the Google Play Store app on your phone, as described below.
Since version 1.4.0, PrismShare offers two optional one-time purchases, Supporter and Patron. Neither unlocks a feature, and both give the same thing: a thank-you badge in the app, and if PrismShare ever shows ads, including promotions for our other apps, anyone who bought Supporter or Patron on that Google account will not see them. Patron is simply the bigger thank-you.
Google Play handles the purchase. PrismShare never sees your card or other payment details, your name or your email address. The app still does not hold Android's internet permission. When you open the Support screen, or return to the app while a purchase you started is unfinished, it talks to the Google Play Store app on your phone, which contacts Google to show prices, check whether your Google account already owns Supporter or Patron, and handle any purchase. The app keeps that answer on your phone so the badge can show. If you never open the Support screen and never start a purchase, the app never talks to Google Play. Google handles all of this under the Google Privacy Policy.
If you buy, Google gives Blue Heeler Software an order record: an order number, the product, the price, the date and the buyer's country (in some countries also a state and postal code, for tax). It does not include your name, email address or payment details. We use order records only to handle refunds and keep our accounts.
The camera is the only permission Android asks you to grant. The billing service permission is granted automatically when the app is installed.
Google is the only one, through the Google Play Store app on your phone, and only as described above. The app has no ads, no analytics services and no accounts.
The app keeps one thing about a purchase: which tier you own, stored on your phone. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes it, and Restore purchase brings it back from Google Play. It is left out of device backups, so it always comes from Google Play. If you use Android's own device backup, Android may copy the app's other settings, and on Android 8 and 9 the files you receive, into that backup, which Google stores in your Google account. We keep Google Play order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. To ask about them, email us at the address below. Google's own records are covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
If a future version of the app gains any capability that touches data or the network, this policy will describe it before that version ships, and its date will change. Version 1.4.0 added the optional Supporter purchase through Google Play, described above.
